Oscars, stars and blockbusters

Jennifer Lawrence: the girl that can do it all

If you only know her as Katniss from the Hunger Games film, you probably don't relise how different character is to her other roles. First and foremost, Lawrence is a great actress- one of the youngest ever to be nominated for an Oscar. To see what she's capable of, watch The Burning Plain or Winter's Bone. But she also kicks ass as Mystique in the X-Men.

Kristen Stewart

She earned more than any other actress in 2012 but there is still a big question mark over Stewart's post- Twilight carreer. Once the hysteria about Bella and Edward is forgotten, will people still want to see her films?

-----

Catching Fire:

The second of the Hunger Games stories finds Katniss Everdeen forced back into the arena to fight against other previous winners of the combat. Soon, as the uprising against President Snow begins, she finds herself becoming the face of the rebellion. If the films are as dark as the novels, this should be a great trilogy.

The Host

This is the film of a book by Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight series. There are no vampires this time- Earth has been infiltrated by parasitic aliens called "souls", which possess humans. There's a love story, of course, between a boy and a "soul".
Twilight fans will be happy!

The girl called Melanie and the "soul" love different boys.

About my last summer

ORAL PRESENTATION

WRITING

In my last summer I have been in Aigüestortes and the Pyrenees, in France, and also in Banyoles.

I went to the Pyrenees for about four days, but I don’t remember very well. I left home by car in the morning, very early. The travel was quiet long, about four hours. When I arrived at the hotel, we saw the rooms and left our suitcases. Our room was very comfortable and beautiful, but not very big.
There, I saw very beautiful places: mountains, rivers, lakes... I also visited the “Pantocrator”, a very famous Christian painting. Finally I returned to home by car.

I also spent a little bit of my summer in France. I have been a lot of times in France, but every time, I visit some different places. Last summer, I visited Bordeaux, St Malo and other cities.

In my last summer I also stayed at home, I love it! I went to a painting “class” in Banyoles, with many of my school friends and I also spent a lot of time in the swimming pool, it was very hot!

I had a very good summer in the Pyrenees, France and Banyoles, but the weather was really hot!

9. About an expedition

Sunday 7th August

I’m going to go on an expedition next Saturday. We’re going to go to a camping in the seaside. I must take my laptop, so I can continue this blog. I also must take my sunscreen, because the weather will be hot.

Saturday 13th August

Here I am in the camping. It’s really hot and sunny, and we’re staying next to the sea, near a forest. We’re going to go for a walk later.

Sunday 14th August

These are my family next to the sea. We had a fantastic time, but during the small trip I became tired. We’re going to visit a museum in the village near the camping tomorrow. I must take my camera.
